Why River Land

Come relax on the banks of the Platte River just downstream for the mouth of the Loup River and the Loup Canal spillway. Set up camp and enjoy the peace and quiet. Ride your bike around the pond, play a game of sand volleyball, have a picnic in the shelter, catch a fish in the pond, the river, the canal , take a walk out on the jetty to watch the sunset over the river. Relax around the campfire and meet old friends and new friends.

Fishing

Fishing the pond, the Platte River, and the Loup Power Canal spillway. The pond is catch and release(except the bluegills, they are good bait on the Platte River. Fish for catfish, crappy, bass, sturgeon.

Canoeing & Kayaking

Canoeing and kayaking: Watercraft can be launched at the Highway 81 Bridge for a 4 hour float to the Riverland Campground. Plans are in the works for a landing spot close to the Schuyler bridge for another 4 hour float.

A great place to host Weddings, Anniversaries, and family reunions.

We are located on the Platte River. We have 4 cabins and 30 RV Site with electric and water hookup. A shower house is also available for all guests.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to bring extension cord or water hose for our RV?

Yes, it is highly recommended that you bring at least a 40ft extension cord and water hose. Our utilities are at the back of the RV site.

What ammenties do the RV sites have?

RV sites have water and power. 20-30-50 amp electrical hookup, and 60-80 ft gravel parking pads. There is also a picnic table on concrete pad and a fire ring.

Do you have a dump station?

Yes. We have a dump station for your black and gray waste water. We charge $10 per dump, which can be purchased when you are making your reservation or in person.

Do you have RV sewer hookups?

Yes! RV campsites 6 thru 18 have their own sewer hookup. Cost is an additional $5 per night which is included in the booking fee.

Is there parking nearby?

Yes! We have plenty of parking.

What water activities are there?

Swimming is not recommended in the river as it is a fast flowing river and can be dangerous. Kayaking and canoeing are welcome. We have a pond on the property with a beach.

Is there access to Platte River?

We do have access to the River on our property.

Where can we fish?

We have fishing in the pond and in the river. The Tailrace falls are adjacent to the property and this is a public park for everyone to enjoy.

Do you allow pets?

Yes. There is a $25 pet fee if you are renting a cabin. Please respect other guests and have your animal leashed at all times.

How much does it cost?

RV sites are $35 a night, Platte and Loup River cabins are $150 and the Eagle Lodge is $250 per night. Cabins and lodge are 2 night minimum.

Note: You will need to drive 1 mile on gravel to get to the campground.

Is alcohol allowed on the property?

Yes, alcohol is permitted for guests who are 21 years of age or older. However, underage drinking is strictly prohibited. Any instances of minors consuming alcohol or adults providing alcohol to minors will be REPORTED and PROSECUTED by the SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT.
